Global tech giant Google has announced to bring facility ESIM in Android smartphones as well. The company said that by the end of this year, Android phone users will also be able to use e-SIM. The company has announced this at the world\’s largest tech show Mobile World Congress (MWC 2023). Till now this feature is available only in iPhone. But after Google\’s plan, it will be easy to transfer the plan to a new device even in Android smartphones.
New Esim in Android Transfer Feature
Google said in its blog post that the new e-SIM transfer feature for Android devices will be rolled out by the end of this year. Firstly this facility will be started for the telecom company Deutsche Telekom. Later, other telecom companies will also be able to support the e-SIM transfer feature.
Explain that the e-SIM feature is built on GSMA\’s global standard and with its help there is no need to change the physical SIM to transfer the mobile plan to a new phone. Users can activate the e-SIM in the new phone without changing the SIM on changing the phone.
Google made these announcements
Google has also announced other features. The company has also announced new Android features along with its partner brands such as Samsung, OnePlus, Oppo and Xiaomi. Google said that the digital car keys feature will be available with Xiaomi\’s new phones Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro phones. At the same time, Nearby Share features have been included in Oppo\’s OPPO Find N2 Flip and OnePlus 11 phones. Along with this, the company also introduced Google Keep, a single note widget on the new home screen. Google also announced the feature of creating notes in a single tap for smartwatches.
